Started by a group of people with a passion for reading and treasured memories of the book fairs of their childhood, Pop-Up Books brings free book fairs to kids in DFW neighborhoods with book deserts.
Every child who walks into a Pop-Up Books tent walks out with a free book they picked out themselves.
We can’t imagine a better experience or way for kids to fall in love with reading.
The Pop-Up Books Mission
Provide free books to kids in local communities to improve access to and encourage enthusiasm for reading.
Spread the word about local resources that offer free or affordable reading materials (like public libraries!).
Be a good community partner and help support other events and organizations that focus on reading.
